CNZ NZSS Northern Tour Skoda+Safetyminder BB

Škoda NZSS Northern Tour

Road & Track
2 September 2023 - 3 September 2023
Mt Wellington, Auckland

The 2023 Skoda NZSS Northern Tour Presented by Safetyminder and Supported by Green Monkey is contested in Winter Tournament week, and will be on 2 - 3 September, run by Cycling New Zealand Schools.

The ITT will NOT be run this year due to a complete course closure for road works. We worked hard with the authorities to continue to utilise part of the course as the contingency however this has been unsuccessful. Collectively we have decided to continue with just two stages of the Northern Tour and we would sincerely appreciate you getting behind this event to show your support. With escalating traffic management costs, events run using public roads are at great risk of being cut from events.

We apologise to all who were looking forward to this event, we realise this will be disappointing. The decision to restrict this event is out of our hands and at this late stage we do not have capacity to organise a new course that makes logistical sense.

Held in central Auckland, the Northern Tour includes 2 stages; A Hill Climb and Criterium.

Riders will not only have the overall GC title up for grabs but will also be racing for the National School Hill Climb title.

Thank you to our major sponsor for making this event possible, Tātaki  Auckland Unlimited – Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s economic and cultural agency committed to making our region a desirable place to live, work, visit, invest and do business. Read more in their Tourism Booklet here.
