The 2022 SKODA Northern Tour is contested in Winter Tournament week, and will be on 3 - 4 September, run by Cycling New Zealand Schools.
Held in Auckland, the Northern School Tour includes 3 stages; an Individual Time Trial, Hill Climb and Criterium.
Saturday 3rd September
Stage 1. Individual Time Trial
Stage 2. Hill Climb
Sunday 4th September
Stage 3. Criterium
Age as at 31 December 2022.
U20, U17, U16, U15, U14, U13 boys and girls
At a minimum competitors must be enrolled in Year 7.
Refunds requested after the entry closing date will only be processed on the presentation of a medical certificate. All refunds will incur a $20 administration fee.
Schools are asked provide volunteer/s for this event. We asked for a minimum of 1 volunteer per 3 riders, though you are welcome to provide more. Please fill out the volunteer sign up form here - TBC.
All volunteers should be over the age of 18, be confident in their role and wear fully enclosed footwear. All equipment required for the role will be given out on the day, such as high-vis vests. Volunteers need to report to the Cycling New Zealand Schools tent for briefing 15 minutes prior to the time stated in the roster. Click here to read the Commitment of Volunteering agreement. Health and Safety
Everyone has a responsibly towards Health and Safety at an event.
The safety of the riders, officials, volunteer and spectators are included in the event planning. This includes (but not limited to) road restrictions, traffic management and event advisories to the local businesses and residents.
The event takes place a mix of urban residential and rural roads. It is your responsibility to manage your own safety during the event, to be aware of other road users at all times and to make responsible decisions. There is traffic management in place however, the roads are OPEN and there will be public and official traffic on the circuit during your race.
