Event Details
The combined South Island and National School Track Championships will be held in Invercargill on 6 - 7 October and will include the following events:

  • Individual age group events incorporating the South Island Titles and National Titles
  • Team Pursuit incorporating the South Island Titles and National Titles
  • Team Sprint incorporating the South Island Titles and National Titles

Tuesday 6
th October
11:00am: Managers Meeting/Race Number Collection (Champions Lounge)
12:00pm: Velodrome opens for set up
12:30pm: Warm Up starts
1:00pm: Racing starts

Wednesday 7th October
8:30am: Velodrome opens for set up
9:00am: Warm Up Starts
9:30am: Racing Starts
5:30pm: Racing Ends (approximately)
5.30pm: Awards Presentations (approximately

Categories

Age taken at 31 December 2020.

Individual events: U20, U17, U16, U15, U14, U13 - boys and girls.
Team events: Senior (U20), Junior (U16), Year 7 & 8 - boys and girls

At a minimum competitors must be enrolled in Year 7.

Individual events will be run in an 'Omnium style'  Riders will be awarded Omnium points for placings in each event. Riders must start all three events to be eligible for titles. Podium placings from individual events will receive certificates. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 overall in each age group.

Bike Hire
Limited number of bikes available for hire during the event. Please contact Cycling Southland for cost and to arrange office@cyclingsouth.org.nz

Refund Policy
There will be no refunds after entries close unless a medical certificate can be provided. Any refunds will incur a $20 administration fee.

Rules
This event is run in accordance with Cycling New Zealand Schools Racing Rules. 

Health and Safety
Everyone has a responsibly towards Health and Safety at an event.
 
The safety of the riders, officials, volunteer and spectators are included in the event planning. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Health and Safety please report to the Chief Commissaire or to the Event Manager.

Entry Details
Entries will open at the start of term 3. Entries must be completed through your school only through Enter Now. No individual entries will be accepted. Schools must be affiliated with Cycling New Zealand Schools before they can enter.
Entry Fees:
Individual entries (includes 3 events) - $70 inc GST
Team entries (per team) - $40 inc GST
