The 2024 South Island and National School Track Championships (combined)will be held at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome in Invercargill on 8 -9 October, hosted by Cycling Southland!

Individual events will be run in an 'Omnium style' and riders will be awarded Omnium points for placings in each event. Riders must start all individual events to be eligible for titles. Team events include Team Sprint and Team Pursuit. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 overall eligible riders in each age group.

Teams Race (Includes Team Pursuit and Team Sprint): Senior (U20), Junior (U16) and Year 7 & 8
 

At a minimum competitors must be enrolled in Year 7.

 

Track Accreditation

All riders are required to be accredited to ride on the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome. Please contact Cycling Southland for cost and to arrange office@cyclingsouth.org.nz

 

Bike Hire
Limited number of bikes available for hire during the event. Please contact Cycling Southland for cost and to arrange office@cyclingsouth.org.nz

Individual Races:

U20, U17, U16, U15, U14, U13 boys and girls 

 

Teams Race:
Senior (U20), Junior (U16) and Year 7 & 8

Entries will open on Wednesday 1 May 2023.

Schools must be affiliated for 2024 and follow the 6 Step by Step Guide here before they will be able to enter this event.

 

Entry Fees

Individual = $80 per rider

Team Pursuit = $60 per team

Year 7&8 and Junior (U16) Team Sprint = $40 per team

Senior (U20) Team Sprint = $60 per team

Entries Close Payments must be Received (otherwise the students will not be eligible to race)
5pm Friday 27 September Friday 4 October

 

Composite Teams - Team Sprint and/or Team Pursuit
If you are entering a Composite team please advise us by adding COMPOSITE into the team name in Enter Now and by emailing schools@cnz.kiwi to confirm. See CNZ Schools Rules for more information. Composite teams are eligible to compete and will be recognised on the podium if they place in the top 3, however as per the current Schools Cycling Rules, they are ineligible to receive a medal.

 

Refund Policy

Refunds requested after the entry closing date will only be processed on the presentation of a medical certificate. All refunds will incur a $25 administration fee.
